Foo Fighters<\/a>\u2019 Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins have teamed up with artists including Paloma Faith<\/a>, Rag\u2019n\u2019Bone Man<\/a> and Zara Larsson<\/a> to record a special BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge version of \u2018Times Like These<\/a>\u2019, in support of the global effort to stay safe and stay home during the Covid-19 crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Released on Thursday, the Stay Home Live Lounge was recorded and filmed by artists from their own homes, and produced by Grammy and Ivor Novello award-winning producer Fraser T. Smith. The track is currently leading the charge for No.1<\/a> in the UK singles chart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s humbling to have been asked to produce this amazing single, taking the Foo Fighters\u2019 classic, \u2018Times Like These\u2019, with the Radio 1 Live Lounge team and the incredible collective of artists who have come together to record whilst in isolation,\u201d said Smith. \u201cOur vision was to create a stay at home version using phones, pots, pans and acoustic guitars that would honour the brilliance and honesty of the artists and song, rather than the trickery of an expensive recording studio.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe tried to make this single in a totally different way artistically, relevant to today. The lyrics particularly resonate with us all at this challenging time, and I sincerely hope that money raised can help the plight of the unified battle against Covid-19 around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The accompanying \u2018Times Like These \u2013 BBC Radio 1 Stay Home Live Lounge\u2019 music video<\/a> received its world exclusive premiere during BBC One\u2019s The Big Night In.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UK net profits from the single will be combined with any funds raised by The Big Night In. These funds will be split equally between BBC Children in Need and Comic Relief to provide essential support to vulnerable people of all ages and backgrounds across the UK who will be significantly impacted by the Covid-19 crisis. International net profits will go towards the WHO\u2019s Covid-19-Solidarity Response Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
