Sound of\u2026 is the annual BBC poll of critics and leading music industry figures to identify the coming year\u2019s most promising new artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Singer songwriter George Ezra appears at number five in the list. \u00a0George hails from Hertford, North London but moved to Bristol to study a degree in music. When his local gigging took off and he appeared on Glastonbury\u2019s Introducing stage, George left university to focus on his musical career. \u00a0Noted for fusing old and new, American and British, George cites the likes of Bob Dylan<\/a> and Woody Guthrie as musical influences and the BBC\u2019s Zane Lowe describes him as \u201cone of the compelling and powerful new vocalists around\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
