{"id":33164,"date":"2024-12-31T16:09:20","date_gmt":"2024-12-31T16:09:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sonymusic.co.uk\/?p=33164"},"modified":"2024-12-31T16:09:21","modified_gmt":"2024-12-31T16:09:21","slug":"jackie-hyde-awarded-mbe-new-year-honours-list-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sonymusic.co.uk\/jackie-hyde-awarded-mbe-new-year-honours-list-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Jackie Hyde Awarded MBE in New Year Honours List 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>It has been announced that Jackie&nbsp;(Jacqueline)&nbsp;Hyde, Vice President of Artist Relations at Sony Music UK, is among those who have been recognised on the King\u2019s New Year Honours list, for her services to music, and joins the Members of the Order of the British Empire.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;New Year Honours List&nbsp;recognises the achievements and service of extraordinary people across the UK, and the recognition comes in the same year that Jackie marks an astonishing 46 years working at Sony Music. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jackie Hyde says: \u201c<em>Receiving this recognition feels overwhelming and I never thought an honour such as this would be given to me. When I joined CBS Records\/Sony Music back in 1979 I couldn\u2019t have imagined that I would be in the industry 45 years later or that I would receive an MBE. It\u2019s been an incredible and very happy career in the business, which I am very proud to be a part of, and a privilege to have worked with such brilliant artists, who I so very much admire.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jackie has been a huge part of Sony Music UK\u2019s success over the years and has forged trusted relationships with iconic Sony Music stars including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sonymusic.co.uk\/artist\/george-michael\/\">George Michael<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sonymusic.co.uk\/artist\/bruce-springsteen\/\">Bruce Springsteen<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sonymusic.co.uk\/artist\/david-bowie\/\">David Bowie<\/a>, Celine Dion, Sade, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Barbra Streisand, Bob Dylan and The Clash.\u00a0She has supported artists from their very first showcase, all the way through to headlining festivals and stadium tours.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jackie has spent years dedicated to charitable causes in the music sector. She&nbsp;is on the Board for the annual Music Industry Trust Awards, which has raised more than&nbsp;\u00a38million for Nordoff &amp; Robbins, the UK\u2019s leading music therapy charity, and The BRIT School in Croydon since its launch in 1992.&nbsp;Jackie&nbsp;also serves on the Board for the Silver Clef charity lunch &#8211; an event that has raised more than&nbsp;\u00a316 million for Nordoff
